C-Spire launches iPhone 4S starting with $50/mo plans

Trivia: Which carriers offer the iPhone 4S in the USA? AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint, right? Wrong! There's a fourth that most people have never heard of: C-Spire. C-Spire is a regional USA carrier that offers the cheapest iPhone 4S plan in the entire USA. Yes, the cheapest iPhone 4S plan in the entire USA, and you've never heard of it! The plan starts at $50 for 500 minutes, unlimited text messaging, and unlimited non-streaming data. This "non-streaming data" plan means that you can only use 70 MB per month of streaming data (video or audio from the internet), but unlimited non-streaming data (everything except for video or audio from the internet). I find this a very good idea to offer an unlimited non-streaming data plan. This is because a huge portion of the data people use on their smartphone comes from YouTube videos, which are streaming data. Allowing only 70 MB of streaming data allows C-Spire's plan to be much more affordable.

Other plans available include a $70 plan for unlimited minutes, unlimited messaging, and unlimited non-streaming data, as well as some significantly more expensive plans that allow unlimited streaming data in addition.
