Happy 10th, Wikipedia!

This week, Wikipedia is turning 10. Sometimes, we take for granted that if we have any question about anything, we can just go to Wikipedia, type in our subject, and you instantly find out about your information. After all, it has over 26 million entries! Though it only has 50 workers, it attracts 440 million unique visitors every month! Though it is seen as a non-profit site, it just raised 16 million dollars from a fundraiser. It has received more than 500,000 donations, each an average of $22. Wikipedia isn't even done. "Our goal is to reach people all around the world with Wikipedia and to make it possible for them to access the encyclopedia," says chief executive of Wikipedia Sue Gardner. They've got Wikipedia avaliable in 250 languages, which is a good start, and they're currently focusing on making Wikipedia a household name in international countries.
