LG Promises a 55" OLED TV
LG could be taking a huge step in the future of OLED TVs when they will exhibit the current largest OLED TV on the market, at 55". It also comes with a 100,000:1 contrast ratio and it is only 5mm thin. It uses a unique technology that has white OLEDs and colored OLEDs on top. LG says that this technology will give the TV a lot of benefits, including a lower error rate, a clearer screen, and a wider color garmut than LCD pixels.
This could change the world of TVs a lot, as OLEDs have not been very common in recent times. The main reason for this is that they are only found in smaller screen sizes. If you're captivated by this information, we'll hear more about the TV when LG goes into more detail at CES, which is only in a few days. If the price is low enough to appeal to many consumers, LG will have quite a breakthrough in their hands.
