Convertibles: A discussion

Imagine riding in a convertible. You're flying along at 65 mph. The wind is rushing into your face. The wind is the only thing you hear. The ground looks like it's flying by. You look up, and you see the wide, wide world. Ahhh. Want a convertible now? Me too. Obviously, there are some cons to these cars.

1. Saftey
First and foremost. Saftey. Imagine, that while riding in this incredible car, a big minivan hits you. Bang! The force of the crash shoots you out of your seatbelt, and you get a major head injury from banging your head on the road. Not so good, huh? That's the biggest downside to a convertible. However, you could get a seat strap that racecar drivers use. That would keep you in your car. However, it might not be the same experience with a seat strap on you.
2. They cost more to insure
Why? Because people that drive convertibles get into more accidents. Therefore, if the insurance rates were the same, the insurance company would lose money, since they would have to pay for more accidents. So, they counter that by raising the insurance rate on convertibles.

Convertibles are incredibly fun to drive though. One of my favorite is the Mazda Miata.
The thrill of riding in this little two-seat sport convertible has almost no equal.

Pricing is $23,000 for the sport convertible.
